Quality Analyst / Test Engineer

As a skilled QA Engineer at our company in Chennai, your main responsibility will be to ensure application quality through a combination of functional validation and technical testing. You will need to have expertise in manual testing, API validation, database verification, and business requirement analysis within Agile environments.

**Key Responsibilities:** - Analyze business requirements and define test strategies and scenarios - Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive manual test cases - Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing - Conduct API testing to validate backend services and integrations - Perform database validation using SQL queries - Identify, log, track, and verify defects through resolution - Perform root cause analysis for reported issues - Collaborate with development, business, and product teams - Support UAT coordination and release sign-off activities - Maintain test documentation and quality reports

**Qualifications Required:** - Strong experience in Manual Testing - Hands-on experience in API testing (Postman / REST services) - Proficiency in Excel and SQL for database validation - Solid understanding of SDLC and STLC - Experience in test case design and defect management - Strong analytical and debugging skills - Good understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies - Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills

In addition to the key responsibilities and qualifications mentioned above, exposure to automation tools (Selenium, REST Assured, etc.), experience in CI/CD-based testing environments, and a basic understanding of performance or security testing would be considered a good-to-have for this role.
