Overview

GovCIO is seeking a Mid-Level Quality Assurance Engineer who will excel in testing and automating processes for a specialized government software solution. This role offers the flexibility of remote work while being part of a collaborative team dedicated to improving government IT operations.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Designing, developing, and implementing effective testing methods and equipment to ensure product specifications are met.
  • Planning and organizing labor, schedules, and equipment necessary for thorough testing and evaluation.
  • Creating test cases for software solutions, both automated and manual.
  • Compiling data and defining required changes based on findings, as well as reporting defects encountered during the testing process.
  • Participating in product walkthroughs and ensuring test activities adhere to established processes.
  • Consulting with development and requirements teams to coordinate application testing.
  • Conducting analysis, diagnostics, and evaluations of products, and developing testing procedures.
  • Producing detailed reports on test activities and monitoring test metrics for continuous process improvement through various analyses.

Qualifications

You should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree with 2-5 years of related experience, or equivalent experience.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Proficiency with Selenium and/or other major automation testing tools like SOAP UI, TestComplete, or Cucumber.

Clearance required: Must be able to acquire USPTO Public Trust.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • AWS Cloud experience.
  • Performance Testing knowledge.
  • 508 Compliance understanding.
  • Experience with Azure.
  • Familiarity with Agile environments.
