Our Challenge
We are looking for a skilled QA Automation Engineer to develop, implement, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for our enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automation testing, a passion for quality assurance, and the ability to work closely with development teams to deliver defect‑free software.
Additional Information
- The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors.
- In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Pittsburgh PA is $85k – $90k/year & benefits (see below).
Role
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for web and mobile applications.
- Collaborate with QA and development teams to define test strategies, plans, and cases.
- Execute automated tests and analyze test results to identify and troubleshoot issues.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing.
- Perform manual testing when necessary to support automation efforts.
- Develop and maintain test documentation, including test plans, cases, and reports.
- Identify, record, and track defects using bug tracking tools like JIRA.
- Ensure the delivery of high‑quality software by performing regression, performance, and load testing.
- Stay updated with the latest trends, tools, and best practices in automation testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven experience in test automation for web applications, mobile apps, or APIs.
- Strong proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium, TestComplete, Cypress, or similar frameworks.
- Programming skills in Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
- Experience with test management and defect tracking tools like JIRA, Quality Center, or TestRail.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Bamboo, or GitLab CI.
- Knowledge of scripting, data‑driven testing, and test frameworks.
- Solid understanding of SDLC, QA methodologies, and Agile/Scrum processes.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
