Lead Testing & Automation Engineer

As a Strategio Lead testing & Automation Engineer, you will:

• Lead the design and implementation of scalable API automation frameworks using Karate
• Build and support backend services using Java and Spring Boot
• Develop and maintain automated test suites for REST APIs and distributed systems
• Integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery
• Assess current QA processes, tools, and automation maturity levels
• Define and execute AI-driven testing strategies across engineering teams
• Design AI-powered solutions for test generation, regression optimization, and defect analysis
• Build phased roadmaps for enterprise AI adoption in testing workflows
• Analyze logs, failures, and test results using AI-enabled techniques
• Improve test coverage, execution efficiency, and defect leakage reduction
• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, and DevOps teams in Agile environments
• Mentor engineers and establish automation and quality engineering best practices

Core Skills:

• 7+ years of experience in QA Automation, SDET, or Testing Engineering roles
• Strong hands-on expertise in Java and Spring Boot
• Proven experience with Karate for API automation testing
• Deep understanding of REST APIs, microservices, and distributed systems
• Experience working with AWS services such as Lambda, ECS, S3, and CloudWatch
• Strong experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
• Demonstrated experience applying AI/ML or GenAI within testing workflows
• Experience using AI tools for test case generation, regression optimization, and failure analysis
• Strong leadership and mentorship experience across engineering teams
• Experience working within Agile software development environments
