About The Role
Amazon is seeking a talented Quality Assurance Engineer II to join its Amazon Kids team in Toronto, Ontario. This role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products that meet Amazon’s standards for performance, security, and reliability. As a Quality Assurance Engineer II, you will collaborate closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to design and execute comprehensive testing strategies. Your expertise will help identify issues early in the development cycle, automate testing processes, and improve overall product quality. The ideal candidate will be passionate about quality assurance, possess strong technical skills, and have experience working with cross-platform systems. Your hands-on approach will contribute to creating a seamless, engaging, and secure experience for children and parents alike.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
- Experience in automation testing and manual testing
- Proficiency in SQA methodology and tools
- Hands-on experience with test planning, designing, and execution
- Experience with performance and stress testing
- Knowledge of API automation testing and unit test frameworks
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent technical field
- Fluency in GenAI technology and its applications in testing
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product and development teams to design and implement effective test strategies for consumer software products
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts to reduce manual testing efforts and increase efficiency
- Define and measure quality metrics to evaluate testing effectiveness, efficiency, and overall software quality
- Ensure that products meet high standards of quality, including performance, security, and reliability
- Address cross-platform engineering challenges and contribute innovative ideas to the quality engineering team
- Perform hands-on testing activities, including test planning, test case design, execution, and performance testing
- Implement and maintain high-quality API automation tests using appropriate frameworks
- Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and tools to enhance product quality
