Role Overview
Service New Brunswick is seeking a QA Lead to support its ongoing digital transformation initiative. The role will focus on ensuring application quality, reliability, and performance across Salesforce-based solutions within a fast-paced Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive QA test plans
- Design, write, and execute manual and automated test cases
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
- Lead defect tracking, reporting, and resolution processes
- Collaborate with development, business, and support teams
- Support Agile/Scrum-based delivery cycles
- Participate in requirement reviews and quality assurance planning
Mandatory Requirements
- Education (M1): University degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- QA Experience (M2): Minimum 10 years of testing experience , including writing and executing test cases across multiple testing types (functional, non-functional, regression, integration, performance, etc.)
- Salesforce Experience (M3): At least 2 years of QA/testing experience on Salesforce Health Cloud , executing test plans and validating platform features
Preferred / Scored Experience
- S1 – QA Test Planning (SaaS/PaaS): Experience developing and executing QA test plans for cloud-based (SaaS/PaaS) solutions
- S2 – Testing Tools & Automation: Minimum 4 years of experience using tools such as Azure DevOps, Selenium, Zephyr , or similar test automation frameworks
- S3 – Agile Testing Experience: Minimum 4 years of experience performing manual and regression testing in Agile/Scrum environments
About the Role
Service New Brunswick is seeking an experienced QA Lead to support a large-scale Digital Transformation initiative within the Department of Social Development. The role focuses on ensuring high-quality delivery of Salesforce-based solutions that improve access to social services across New Brunswick.
The QA Lead will drive testing strategy, execution, and quality governance , while collaborating with cross-functional teams including development, business stakeholders, and support units.
Key Responsibilities
QA Strategy & Leadership
- Define and own QA strategy, standards, and best practices
- Lead requirement reviews to identify defects early in the lifecycle
- Mentor and guide QA team members
Test Planning & Execution
- Develop and maintain comprehensive test plans and QA documentation
- Design and execute manual and automated test cases
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing
- Conduct gap analysis for releases and enhancements
Defect Management & Reporting
- Track, manage, and report defects through resolution
- Maintain QA dashboards and provide status reporting
- Communicate testing progress with stakeholders
Automation & Tools
- Develop and execute automated test scripts
- Work with tools such as Azure DevOps, Selenium, Zephyr
- Support performance testing initiatives
Collaboration & UAT Support
- Work closely with development and business teams
- Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
- Participate in design reviews, demos, and workshops
Knowledge Transfer
- Train and cross-skill QA team members
- Maintain documentation and testing repositories
Mandatory Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years of QA/testing experience across multiple testing types
- 2+ years of Salesforce Health Cloud testing experience
- Valid Salesforce Administrator Certification
- Experience in healthcare or human services domain
- 5+ years creating QA strategies, reports, and test plans
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred / Scored Skills
- Experience with SaaS/PaaS QA testing environments
- Proficiency in test automation tools (Selenium, Azure DevOps, Zephyr)
- Strong experience in Agile/Scrum environments
- Expertise in data integrity and data quality testing
- Knowledge of Salesforce OmniStudio (FlexCards, OmniScripts, DataRaptors)
- Experience with:
- Salesforce Service & Health Cloud
- CRM integrations and external systems
- Data migration and validation
- Security and access model testing

Work Environment
- Remote-first engagement
- Optional onsite work in Fredericton, NB
- Standard working hours: Monday–Friday, 8:15 AM – 4:30 PM (AST)
