Your Role

As a Software Quality Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality and performance of our software products. Collaborating closely with development and product teams, your expertise will help identify issues, implement best practices, and drive ongoing improvements in our QA processes. This position is an exciting opportunity to apply your skills and positively influence our product offerings and user experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test cases for web UI, APIs, and backend services, guided by senior team members.
• Utilize existing test frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Selenium) to execute and enhance test scripts.
• Monitor and execute automated tests within the CI/CD pipeline, identifying environment readiness issues and managing test data.
• Enhance testing accuracy and reliability, identifying and reporting flaky tests while supporting improvements in test runtime.
• Generate and publish standardized test reports that provide actionable feedback to product development teams.
• Investigate and triage initial test failures, offering detailed reports to differentiate between product bugs and environment issues.
• Collaborate with Software Engineers and Product teams to ensure test cases align with user stories.
• Contribute to engineering excellence by documenting test plans, scripts, and results.
• Participate in team meetings and code reviews, adopting industry best practices for quality assurance.
• Show a strong desire to learn new testing technologies and engage in proactive problem-solving to foster a culture of quality.

Required Experience

• 4+ years in software quality assurance.
• 2+ years in performance testing.
• 2+ years building and maintaining automated tests for web applications and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with end-to-end and API test automation frameworks (e.g., Playwright, Selenium, Cypress).
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD systems (e.g., GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, Jenkins) using Git-based workflows.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
• Ability to work in an Agile/Scrum environment and provide accurate testing estimates.

Preferred Experience

• Experience testing cloud-native and microservices architectures (Docker/Kubernetes) in Linux environments.
• Utilizing observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana) to improve test diagnostics.
• Familiarity with important integration strategies like contract testing or service virtualization.
• Experience with reporting pipelines and quality dashboards for actionable insights.
• Involvement in performance, load, or resiliency testing.
• Practical knowledge of at least one back-end programming language (e.g., Java, Python).

Work Environment
