Key Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Work with the Quality Manager to identify the applicable resources for the project
  • Assist and support the Quality Manager to achieve the contract quality requirements and objectives, for both on and off site.
  • Support implementation of the quality vision, goals and strategies.
  • Identify, support production of the quality department contractual and company deliverable
  • Verify implementation of contractual requirements
  • Set up inspection teams for both on and off-site inspection
  • Review Inspection and test Plans
  • Use of Mercury and Client digital construction platforms.
  • Ensure inspections are carried out of completed works offered up by construction.
  • Review, endorse, and monitor Vendor/Contractors deliverables
  • Support the implementation of project procedures and processes Implementation.
  • Record and manage quality work, in ensuring information is provided to prevent reoccurrence
  • Plan and perform quality audits and assessments of the construction or vendor/subcontractor work
  • Plan and perform Internal audits at key stages of work delivery.
  • Raise non-conformances when out of specification requirements are identified and support resolution and close out.
  • Report non-conformances and corrective actions with documented evidence and recommendations for satisfactory resolution.
  • Review project deliverables to ensure quality requirements have been incorporated e.g. Work and test packs.
  • Produce weekly and monthly reports and managed KPI information.
  • Ensure all quality reports are produced and uploaded within the document system.
  • Provide guidance and support to the quality team.
  • All other duties associated with this role and/or reasonably required by the Company the Company reserves the right to vary the scope and nature of the Employee’s normal duties to take into account changes in the Company’s work patterns and practices and the requirements of its business.
  • Any activity undertaken shall be compliant with the traceable guiding document.

Core Competencies

  • Degree in QA/QC or an equivalent discipline.
  • Relevant IT experience.
  • Adopt the implementation of project Digital Construction Platforms.
  • High ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
  • Previous experience with projects of a similar nature and size in a comparative role
  • Proven success in managing QC Teams of a significant size.
  • Track record of successfully managing Quality Control on multiple work sites / work fronts
  • Thorough understanding of the Construction sequencing and dependability of various work
  • Ability to train and mentor both Operation and QAQC Team using variety of tools and techniques
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and in writing including report and correspondence writing

Essential Criteria for the Role:

  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum 8 plus years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Previous experience in Construction Operations.
  • Professional qualification in QA/QC or equivalent discipline.
  • Professional certification.
  • Travel will be required for this position.

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience in BIM 360.
  • Internal Quality Lead Auditor.
  • Experience with integrated management systems an advantage.
