QUANTITY SURVEYOR – CIVIL CONSTRUCTION

Requirements

• Civil Engineering degree or National Diploma
• At least 6 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor in a civil construction company or similar relevant experience
• Experience in investigating and reporting on costing discrepancies as well as compiling monthly payment certificates
• A good working knowledge of MS Excel, CCS, Model Maker, and the ability to learn how to use specialist software
• A good working knowledge of SANS 1200
• Attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
• Knowledge of Civil Engineering conditions of contract (GCC and NEC)
• Driver’s license
• Strong communication/negotiation skills
• Competent in compiling written reports
• Ability to work independently and to comply with timelines
