RIDER LEVETT BUCKNALL, a leading quantity surveying firm in South Africa, is seeking experienced Quantity Surveyors to join its dynamic and growing team.

This role is ideal for seasoned professionals with strong experience in the built environment, particularly across mining, engineering and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis for proposed work
• Preparing detailed BOQs and tender documentation
• Carrying out detailed tender adjudication and analyses, and preparation of contract documentation
• Attend site meetings and minuting of same
• Managing contractor and/or supplier valuations and progress payments
• Monitoring project costs, cash flows, and budget performance
• Track contractual obligations and assist with drafting and reviewing contract correspondence
• Identify and assess potential financial, contractual and project risks
• Prepare final account statements upon project completion, reconcile all project costs with clear documentation of expenditures and variations

Minimum Requirements:

• BSc. (Hons) in Quantity Surveying
• Minimum 5+ years of relevant industry experience
• Registered with SACQSP as candidate or PrQS (proof of registration required)
• Proficient in DimX, WinQS and Microsoft Package
• Valid driver’s license and own transport are preferable
• Multi-disciplinary experience is preferable
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
• Excellent understanding of construction processes and contract law
• Strong negotiation and communication abilities
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently, under pressure and meet strict deadlines
