Requirements
- Mindestens 3 Jahre Berufserfahrung in der Softwareentwicklung mit Fokus auf Cloud Computing, Quantum Computing, wissenschaftliches Rechnen oder HPC.
- Starker theoretischer Hintergrund im Quantum Computing: Master- oder Promotionsabschluss in Informatik oder Physik, idealerweise mit Schwerpunkt/Nebenfach Quantenphysik oder Quanteninformationstechnologie.
- Nachgewiesene Fähigkeit zur Arbeit mit fremden Codebasen und deren Überführung in stabile, getestete und dokumentierte Industriestandards.
- Programmierkenntnisse: Exzellente Kenntnisse in Python und Erfahrung mit mindestens einem gängigen Quantum Framework.
- Gute Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse (schriftlich und mündlich).
Responsibilities
- QSS-Kernentwicklung: Entwicklung der Kernkomponenten des neuen QSS (z.B. Transpiler, Job-Scheduler) und deren funktionale Integration in die vorhandene Cloud-Architektur der STACKIT Cloud Plattform.
- Algorithmen-Implementierung: Implementierung, Optimierung und Test von Quantenschaltungen und hybriden Workflows unter Verwendung verschiedener SDKs (Qiskit, Qrisp, PennyLane).
- Hardware-Integration: Entwicklung und Pflege der Hardware-spezifischen Integrationsmodule (APIs/Treiber), um neue QPU-Modalitäten robust an den QSS anzubinden.
- Code-Härtung & Adaption: Technische Adaption, Refactoring und Optimierung von Open-Source-Codebasen aus der Quanten-Forschung, um diese in Produktionsqualität zu überführen.

Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of software development experience focusing on Cloud Computing, Quantum Computing, scientific computing or HPC
- Strong theoretical background in Quantum Computing with a Master or PhD in Computer Science or Physics, preferably with a focus on quantum physics or quantum information technology
- Proven ability to work with external codebases and transform them into stable, tested, documented industrial standards
- Excellent Python programming skills and experience with at least one common Quantum Framework
- Good German and English language skills (written and spoken)

- Code hardening & adaptation: technical adaptation, refactoring, and optimization of open‑source quantum research codebases for production quality
