About the role
Role Overview
This role supports the integration and testing of advanced radar systems deployed across fixed, transportable, and naval platforms. The position focuses on validating radar subsystem and software performance through hands-on testing, requirements verification, and system-level integration within a secure defense environment. Working as part of a collaborative engineering team and contribute across the integration and test lifecycle, including test planning, execution, troubleshooting, and verification. The role partners closely with systems, software, and hardware engineers to ensure mission-critical radar capabilities meet performance and reliability standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Integrate radar subsystems and software across complex system architectures.
- Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and verification activities.
- Perform AESA HWIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) testing and support system validation efforts.
- Conduct requirements verification, traceability, and reporting to ensure system compliance.
- Analyze discrepancies, troubleshoot issues, and drive resolution to closure.
- Ensure system requirements are testable and aligned with verification strategies.
- Support decomposition of radar systems and subsystems for integration and testing.
- Utilize test equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and network tools.
- Develop or support test automation using C++, MATLAB, or Python.
- Participate in technical reviews and contribute to engineering documentation and artifacts.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support integration, validation, and overall program success.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field required.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
- Active Secret clearance required.
Skills
- Experience with integration of radar subsystems and software.
- Strong background in test planning, execution, and validation processes.
- Hands-on experience with electronic test equipment and debugging techniques.
- Familiarity with test automation and scripting (C++, MATLAB, or Python).
- Experience with requirements verification and traceability tools (DOORS, Jira, Confluence).
- Understanding of Systems Engineering principles, including the Systems Engineering V lifecycle.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience
- Background in radar systems or RF-based technologies.
- Experience with AESA radar or HWIL testing environments.
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or other complex system integration environments.
- Familiarity with large-scale system integration and verification efforts.
