Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Radar Integration & Test Engineer to support the integration, testing, and verification of radar systems in support of the Golden Dome initiative. This role focuses on hands‑on subsystem integration, hardware‑in‑the‑loop (HWIL) testing of AESA radar systems, and execution of detailed test plans to validate performance and requirements compliance. The ideal candidate will have strong lab experience, test automation skills, and a background supporting complex radar or RF systems.
Work Environment
Full‑time, on‑site role in a laboratory environment in Moorestown, NJ or Syracuse, NY supporting advanced radar development and integration efforts for a next‑generation defense initiative.
Responsibilities
- Integrate radar subsystems, hardware, and software into lab and system‑level configurations.
- Support AESA radar HWIL testing and subsystem‑to‑system integration activities.
- Develop, execute, and document radar test plans, test procedures, and verification activities.
- Perform hands‑on testing using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and network monitoring tools (e.g., Wireshark).
- Develop and maintain test automation scripts using C++, MATLAB, and/or Python.
- Support requirements verification, traceability, and reporting using DOORS, Jira, and Confluence.
- Troubleshoot integration and test issues, working closely with radar systems, software, and hardware engineers.
- Support testing of high powered long range radar capabilities and legacy systems being integrated into an enterprise architecture.
- Document test results, anomalies, and corrective actions to support system acceptance.
Clearance Requirement
- Active Secret security clearance required.
Education & Experience Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
- Level 3 preferred: 5+ years of radar systems integration & test engineering experience.
- Level 2 acceptable: 2–5 years of relevant systems integration & test engineering experience.
Technical Qualifications
- Hands‑on experience integrating radar or RF subsystems and executing system‑level tests.
- Experience using common RF and lab test equipment.
Compensation
- Pay Band for Level II (2-5 years experience): $115,000 -$130,000
- Pay Band for Level III (5+ years of experience): $135,000 - $160,000
