Lockheed Martin seeks a Radar, RF, Software and Sensors Engineer to join our Defense & Aerospace Engineering & Design team. Responsibilities

  • Design, model, and analyze radar, RF, and sensor systems for defense and aerospace applications
  • Develop, integrate, and test embedded and real-time software for sensor and RF systems
  • Perform simulations, signal processing, and algorithm development to enhance detection and tracking performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Engineering & Design to define system requirements and architectures
  • Support lab and field testing, data collection, and troubleshooting of radar and RF subsystems
  • Document designs, test plans, and results in accordance with defense and aerospace standards
  • Contribute to system-level integration, verification, and validation activities
  • Ensure compliance with security, safety, and quality standards across all developments
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations to stakeholders
  • Support continuous improvement, innovation, and technology insertion initiatives

Qualifications

  • Radar system design
  • RF circuit design
  • Digital signal processing (DSP)
  • MATLAB or Python modeling/simulation
  • C/C++ or embedded software development
  • Sensors and data fusion
  • Systems engineering and requirements analysis
  • Testing, integration, and verification
  • Electromagnetics and antenna theory
  • Version control and configuration management
  • B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Eligibility for U.S. security clearance
  • Experience with radar, RF, or sensor systems in defense/aerospace

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with DO-178C, DO-254, or similar industry standards (preferred)
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or relevant certifications (preferred)
