Lockheed Martin seeks a Radar, RF, Software and Sensors Engineer to join our Defense & Aerospace Engineering & Design team. Responsibilities
- Design, model, and analyze radar, RF, and sensor systems for defense and aerospace applications
- Develop, integrate, and test embedded and real-time software for sensor and RF systems
- Perform simulations, signal processing, and algorithm development to enhance detection and tracking performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Engineering & Design to define system requirements and architectures
- Support lab and field testing, data collection, and troubleshooting of radar and RF subsystems
- Document designs, test plans, and results in accordance with defense and aerospace standards
- Contribute to system-level integration, verification, and validation activities
- Ensure compliance with security, safety, and quality standards across all developments
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations to stakeholders
- Support continuous improvement, innovation, and technology insertion initiatives
Qualifications
- Radar system design
- RF circuit design
- Digital signal processing (DSP)
- MATLAB or Python modeling/simulation
- C/C++ or embedded software development
- Sensors and data fusion
- Systems engineering and requirements analysis
- Testing, integration, and verification
- Electromagnetics and antenna theory
- Version control and configuration management
- B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
- Eligibility for U.S. security clearance
- Experience with radar, RF, or sensor systems in defense/aerospace
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with DO-178C, DO-254, or similar industry standards (preferred)
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or relevant certifications (preferred)
