A key player in mobility in the canton of Fribourg, the Transports publics fribourgeois (TPF) is a valued institution, used every day by a large part of the population. Strong with nearly 1,000 employees and looking to the future, the company continues to develop its railway activity in a context of technological and sustained evolution.
In the context of the departure of the current job holder, the TPF are looking for an experienced personality as:
Railway Engineering Manager
A role at the heart of performance and railway operations
Responsibilities
- Member of the extended management of TPF TRAFIC, you assume global responsibility for activities related to railway engineering and rolling stock.
- You steer all activities in your field, by defining and implementing the policies and projects necessary for its evolution.
- You ensure, in particular, the acquisition, maintenance, and development of the fleet in a logic of performance, safety, and economic efficiency.
- You guarantee compliance with and development of standards in terms of health, safety, and environment, according to ECM requirements, and are responsible for the quality and compliance of maintenance activities.
- A true driver of continuous improvement, you are a source of proposals in the development of methods, processes, and digital solutions.
- As a manager, you supervise, develop, and unite your teams (approx. 30 employees spread over two sites).
- Finally, you ensure fluid communication internally and externally, represent the company's interests within industry bodies, and develop partnerships.
Your Profile
- An engaged and results-oriented person, you combine solid technical expertise with a real strategic vision, allowing you to evolve with ease in complex and demanding environments.
- You benefit from confirmed experience in managing large-scale technical projects as well as excellent mastery of maintenance activities and regulatory frameworks.
- Knowledge of future train sets constitutes a major asset.
- You know how to create a positive work environment by accompanying your teams in achieving objectives while fostering the development of skills.
- A convincing communicator, you are comfortable making decisions and interacting with varied stakeholders.
- Holder of an HES/EPF engineering degree in mechanics, electrical engineering, or equivalent, you justify experience in a technical environment, ideally railway or industrial.
- You speak French and ideally possess good knowledge of German.
