R&D Electrical Engineer (m/w/d)
Dr. Mach GmbH und Co. KG
About the role
About
Your Mission
Your Tasks: Setting Standards in Electronics Development
- Hardware Development: You will independently develop complex electronics and printed circuit boards for medical products, from component selection and EMC-compliant design to final layout.
- Requirements Management: You will actively participate in defining product requirements and contribute your expertise early in the development process, because good hardware starts with good requirements.
- Testing & Validation: You will create test plans, conduct hardware tests, and systematically evaluate the results – because comprehensive documentation is not an extra effort in medical technology, but the foundation.
- Managing External Partners: You will coordinate and monitor external development partners, align results, and ensure that quality and timelines are met.
- Regulatory Documentation: You will conscientiously maintain the Design History File and ensure that all development results are documented in a traceable and standards-compliant manner.
- Risk Analysis & Process Improvement: You will contribute your expertise to risk analyses together with Regulatory Affairs and actively shape the further development of our development processes.
Your Profile: Precision is No Accident
Technical Requirements:
- Completed degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a comparable field.
- At least 3-5 years of professional experience in hardware development at a senior level, ideally in medical technology or another regulated environment (automotive, aerospace, industrial electronics).
- In-depth knowledge of printed circuit board design, component selection, and EMC-compliant circuit design.
- Experience with relevant standards (e.g., IEC 60601, EN 55015, or comparable); you understand not only what the standard requires, but also why.
- Knowledge in the area of embedded software or firmware is explicitly welcome: Those who understand the interface between hardware and software bring real added value to our team.
- Basic knowledge of project management and experience in managing external development partners.
Personal Strengths:
- You don't just follow instructions; you understand why each development step matters and take responsibility for it.
- You think analytically, solve problems systematically, and maintain an overview even in complex projects.
- You value teamwork, communicate clearly, and work as confidently independently as you do in interdisciplinary teams.
- Very good German language skills (at least C1 level) in speaking and writing are essential for internal communication and documentation.
What We Offer: More Than Just a Job
We are looking for people who seek a reliable, good employer and not just the next project.
- Meaningful Work: You directly contribute to enabling medical personnel worldwide to work under optimal conditions; you feel this in every project.
- Hybrid Work: We offer you the flexibility to combine office and home office, because good work doesn't always happen in the same place.
- Supportive Culture: Flat hierarchies, direct communication up to the management level, and a works council actively advocating for you – not just promises on paper, but lived reality.
- Perspective Instead of Stagnation: As a Senior Engineer, you will significantly shape projects, with the opportunity to take on responsibility as a project lead and to develop professionally and personally.
- Stability & Security: You start with a permanent, unlimited employment contract for long-term collaboration in a stable family company.
- A Company with Values: Family-run, with employees who stand behind their products because no one here is just "doing a job".
