About the role

About Echo Silence

Echo Silence is a DeepTech company redefining industrial noise control through advanced acoustic metamaterials. We develop compact, high-performance solutions addressing one of the most challenging problems in acoustics: low-frequency noise, across industries such as power generation, HVAC, rail, and heavy machinery. Backed by leading European innovation programs and working closely with industrial partners, we are building a scalable technology platform with global impact.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a highly skilled R&D Engineer to join our core team and contribute directly to the design and development of next-generation acoustic metamaterials. This role is at the intersection of advanced physics, numerical modeling, and industrial application, with a strong focus on real-world impact and product development. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge problems in acoustics and play a key role in translating research into deployable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and optimize acoustic metamaterials using advanced numerical simulations (COMSOL Multiphysics)
  • Model complex wave propagation phenomena.
  • Drive the transition from simulation to industrial integration (applications)
  • Lead and support experimental validation and testing campaigns
  • Contribute to ongoing PoCs and product development strategy
  • Collaborate closely with industrial partners and internal teams

Candidate Profile

  • Experience: 3+ years in acoustic metamaterials, wave physics, or advanced acoustics
  • Education: MSc, PhD or Postdoc in Acoustics, Physics, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Strong proficiency in COMSOL Multiphysics
    • Deep understanding of acoustic wave phenomena and metamaterial design
    • Experience in numerical modeling and experimental validation
    • Strong knowledge of low-frequency acoustics is highly valued
  • Mindset:
    • Strong analytical thinking and scientific rigor
    • Ability to work autonomously and drive results
    • Interest in translating research into real industrial impact
  • Languages: Fluent in English (French is a plus).

Why Join Echo Silence

  • Work on cutting-edge DeepTech with real industrial applications
  • Be part of a high-impact team shaping the product and technology
  • Direct exposure to industrial partners and real-world challenges
  • Opportunity to contribute to a scalable and globally relevant technology
