About the role

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead development of new product opportunities within the snacks category
  • Develop seasoning solutions and related applications aligned to customer and market needs
  • Translate insights and trends into commercially viable product concepts
  • Manage projects from early concept through to full commercial launch
  • Oversee scale-up and industrial implementation of new products
  • Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and customer engagement where required
  • Lead customer presentations and technical discussions
  • Manage project pipelines, timelines, and resource allocation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and global teams to ensure delivery and compliance
  • Lead and develop an R&D team focused on innovation, delivery, and capability building
  • Support structured development planning, coaching, and performance feedback

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, Microbiology, Process Engineering, or related discipline
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in food product development or applied R&D environments
  • Strong expertise in food systems and flavour/seasoning development
  • Proven experience managing technical projects or portfolios
  • Experience engaging directly with customers in technical environments
  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of business drivers
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving ability
  • Strong planning, prioritisation, and organisational capability
  • Leadership experience within an R&D or technical team environment
  • Ability to work across cross-functional and global teams
