R&D Project Engineer (Building Technology)

About

An innovative engineering company is looking for an R&D Project Engineer (Building Technology) to drive the development of advanced construction materials and scalable building solutions. Ideal for a hands‑on engineer passionate about research and real‑world impact.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead R&D on composite materials and advanced cement‑based solutions
• Conduct laboratory testing and experimental research
• Support rapid‑build initiatives such as “1‑day foundation” systems
• Maintain accurate test data and assist with certification processes
• Collaborate with design and production teams to implement new technologies

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 1–3 years’ experience in construction innovation or research
• Strong knowledge of cement‑based composites and materials
• Hands‑on lab testing and analytical skills
• Exposure to FEM, Revit, or alternative building technologies is advantageous

Qualification

• Master’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (essential)

Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
