Your Responsibilities

• Development of modern software solutions for the automated testing of next-generation Digital SoCs with a focus on the highest quality, reliability, and performance standards.
• You will familiarize yourself with the Digital Device drivers/Embedded SW software area and the associated hardware of the chip test system. We will provide you with an experienced employee as a mentor for this.
• You develop and maintain multithreaded, highly optimized C++ code using state-of-the-art algorithms. The performance of the code is crucial.
• You develop prototypes for the evaluation and further development of innovative concepts.
• You work with a state-of-the-art development environment on high-performance Linux workstations to realize new functionalities in high quality.
• You work as a member of a self-organized, agile team according to agile principles in a work environment adapted to your personal and team needs.
• As part of the integration of software and hardware, you will work cross-functionally with experts from embedded / the respective software driver teams and hardware.

Your Profile

• You have completed your university studies in computer science, software engineering, electrical engineering, or related disciplines with above-average performance.
• Extensive programming skills in C++ 17 (or newer).
• Sound understanding of software design concepts and methods, OOP, algorithms, and data structures.
• Practical knowledge in object-oriented analysis and design, design patterns, and test automation.
• Extensive analytical thinking, data-based problem analysis, and problem-solving skills.
• Sound knowledge of the fundamentals of electrical engineering and measurement technology.
• You have good communication skills in English.
• You work solution-oriented with colleagues and promote a positive working environment.
• We assume a quick grasp of concepts and an independent, structured way of working.
• Working in an internationally composed team is a matter of course for you.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge in the area of digital processors, high-performance computers
• Experience with SW engineering concepts such as: parallelism, reusability, maintainability, DFT
• Experience in SW development under Linux
• Experience with GIT, Eclipse, JIRA Python, Ruby and/or other scripting languages
• Experience with agile SW development methods, e.g. SCRUM and SAFe
• Good German language skills
