React Engineer (Technical Lead – Mode 2)

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior React Engineer (Technical Lead – Mode 2) to support a new strategic initiative — the Financial Planning Hub, a large-scale web application.

This role will partner closely with an existing technical lead and play a critical role in guiding a highly experienced Angular team as they transition into the React ecosystem.

The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise, leadership, and hands-on coaching ability to accelerate team capability and ensure a strong architectural foundation.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the technical lead to design and build a scalable React-based web application
• Guide and mentor team members transitioning from Angular to React
• Lead the setup and configuration of complex React architecture, including:
  • Routing
  • State management
  • Module federation
• Provide expert recommendations on best practices in front-end architecture
• Drive development of core features and contribute to initial build-out
• Ensure high standards in performance, accessibility, and maintainability
• Support and enhance the team’s React training and upskilling efforts

Required Qualifications

• Expert-level experience in Front-End Engineering and Architecture
• Strong proficiency in React
• Experience with micro front-end architecture (preferably Preact)
• Hands-on experience with:
  • TypeScript
  • Node.js
  • Nx
• Strong understanding of:
  • Web performance optimization
  • Accessibility standards (WCAG)
  • Scalable front-end architecture

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience leading or coaching engineering teams
• Experience working with Angular teams transitioning to React
• Exposure to large-scale enterprise applications
