About the Role

Our client, a dynamic and expanding real estate investment firm, is seeking a highly analytical and results-oriented Real Estate Investment Analyst to join their fully remote team. This position is critical for identifying, evaluating, and executing profitable real estate investment opportunities across various asset classes and geographic markets. You will be responsible for conducting in-depth market research, financial modeling, and due diligence to assess the viability and potential returns of proposed investments. The analyst will play a key role in sourcing new deals, developing investment strategies, and supporting the acquisition process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing detailed financial pro forma statements, cash flow projections, and sensitivity analyses for potential acquisitions.
  • Evaluating property-level and portfolio-level risks and returns, utilizing various valuation methodologies such as discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable sales, and replacement cost analysis.
  • Monitoring existing portfolio performance, tracking market trends, and providing insights to inform asset management strategies.
  • Collaborating with external partners, including brokers, lenders, and legal counsel.
  • Preparing investment committee memos and presentations.

  • Identify and evaluate potential real estate investment opportunities.
  • Conduct market research, feasibility studies, and competitive analysis.
  • Develop detailed financial models, including pro forma statements and cash flow projections.
  • Perform property valuations using various methodologies (DCF, comps).
  • Analyze investment risks and returns, preparing investment committee memos.
  • Monitor existing portfolio performance and market trends.
  • Assist in due diligence and the closing process for acquisitions.
  • Source new deals and build relationships with brokers and partners.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in real estate investment analysis or finance.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel for financial modeling.
  • Experience with real estate market data sources and valuation techniques.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment.

Additional Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or a related field is required; a Master's degree or relevant professional certification (e.g., CFA, CCIM) is a significant plus.
  • Proficiency in Excel for financial modeling and analysis is essential, as is experience with real estate market data providers (e.g., CoStar, Reonomy).
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in real estate investment, finance, or a related analytical field is necessary.
