About the role

About the Role

The building in existing structures and sometimes during operation is an exciting challenge! In the historic gas turbine plant in Huttenstraße in Berlin-Moabit, with its large brick industrial buildings and modern production halls, you will take on independent project management and execution of construction projects of various sizes (conversions, extensions, maintenance, new buildings), coordinate with planners and specialist companies, and coordinate your project with the responsible parties on site. You can largely organize your working hours flexibly and work both on-site and remotely.

How You Can Make a Difference

  • Taking on client responsibility before and during the construction phase, as well as managing planning offices and construction companies for optimal project execution and ensuring project goals are met from project idea to operational handover.
  • Finding optimal technical solutions regarding construction, building physics, and technical building equipment.
  • Planning, execution, and monitoring of repair, maintenance, and modernization measures, including cost planning.
  • Conception and implementation of measures for the energetic optimization of buildings.
  • Supporting and promoting the company goal of achieving climate-neutral operation by 2030.
  • Implementation of an office work environment that supports our flexible working model.

What You Bring

  • Engineering sciences with a focus on real estate (e.g., Civil Engineering, Architecture, Facility Management).
  • Furthermore, you have relevant professional experience in responsible roles in construction project management, as well as experience in planning, tendering, and execution of construction projects, including economic responsibility, and have experience in building in existing structures, especially in listed buildings.
  • Personally, you impress with your ability to implement projects with a focus on goals, link information, understand contexts, and identify problems. You can also define clear decision criteria and weigh alternatives.
  • You work effectively with the team on a common task, set priorities, and structure and plan tasks and actions to achieve goals and requirements.
  • You are fluent in German and can understand and write English.
  • Ideally, you have further training in the field of structural fire protection and are a coordinator for external companies (BG).
