Rebar Detailer- Structural

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate rebar layouts and schedules from design info and drawings provided by others
• Use software like Revit, AutoCAD, or specialized rebar programs to create 2D/3D models and layouts
• Perform accurate material take – offs and estimate total reinforcing steel quantities
• Review rebar layouts and schedules to ensure compliance
• Ensure project deadlines are met by managing time efficiently while maintaining a high standard of work

Requirements

• 2 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally at an engineering firm within the structural division
• Proficient in MS Office suite
• Working knowledge and experience with the Rebar scheduling code: SANS 282
• Ability to work in compliance with ISO 9001 QMS System
• Strong proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Driver’s license and own vehicle

Qualification

• Grade 12
