Role Overview

A fast-growing, locally operated restoration and reconstruction organization is seeking an experienced Reconstruction Project Manager to support its expansion in the DC market. This role is ideal for a professional with hands-on reconstruction experience who thrives in a client-facing, fast-paced environment and is eager to grow with the business.

The Reconstruction Project Manager will oversee approximately $1.2M in annual reconstruction projects, managing scopes of work, subcontractors, schedules, budgets, and customer relationships from start to finish. This position offers meaningful bonus potential tied directly to project performance, along with flexibility in base/bonus structure to align with candidate preferences.

This role is highly visible and plays a critical part in delivering exceptional service to residential and light commercial clients following property loss events.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage reconstruction projects from estimate through completion
  • Develop and maintain detailed scopes of work and project budgets
  • Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams
  • Communicate effectively with customers, adjusters, and stakeholders
  • Ensure projects remain organized, on schedule, and within budget
  • Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and support market growth

Desired Experience & Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in restoration and reconstruction project management
  • Strong understanding of insurance-driven reconstruction projects
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent customer-facing communication and “bedside manner”
  • Highly organized with strong scheduling and time-management skills
  • Curious, growth-oriented mindset with interest in leadership progression
  • Experience with estimating software preferred
