Job Summary
This role partners with leadership, HR, and hiring managers to develop and execute strategic talent acquisition initiatives, promote Burlington’s employer brand, and support the evolving needs of the distribution centers.
Responsibilities
- Source candidates using diverse channels including social media, networking events, and LinkedIn Recruiter to build a strong talent pipeline.
- Engage passive and diverse candidates through proactive outreach and maintain ongoing communication to keep talent engaged.
- Conduct candidate assessments such as resume reviews, phone screenings, and in-person interviews to evaluate qualifications and cultural fit.
- Manage all recruitment stages from job posting through offer negotiation and onboarding coordination.
- Collaborate with hiring managers and stakeholders to understand business objectives and job requirements, tailoring recruitment strategies accordingly.
- Provide consultative support and market insights to hiring managers to enhance recruitment outcomes and evolve talent strategies.
- Build and maintain relationships with colleges and professional organizations to expand the candidate pool.
Requirements
- 4-7 years of full lifecycle recruiting experience, preferably in retail or operations/logistics, with distribution center recruiting a plus.
- Proficient with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) such as Workday Recruiting or similar platforms.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent interpersonal abilities.
- Demonstrated professionalism and business acumen with an understanding of recruiting’s impact on business success.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to contribute beyond tactical recruiting to overall organizational success.
- Ability to work onsite in distribution centers and corporate office on a hybrid schedule and travel occasionally for business.
