Role Summary
This role supports the launch and growth of a dedicated, military-focused recruiting program designed to identify, attract, and convert high-potential transitioning service members into sales-driven professionals pursuing a long-term business ownership opportunity. The program is designed to build a sustainable ownership pipeline grounded in leadership, accountability, and performance traits commonly developed through military service. The Veteran Talent Recruiter partners closely with internal business leaders and military transition organizations to support long-term growth through high-quality, ownership-aligned talent.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Candidate Sourcing
- Build and maintain strong relationships with military transition programs, including SkillBridge, TAP, and base education offices
- Source candidates through veteran professional networks, LinkedIn military communities, and military-focused job boards
- Attend and represent the organization at military job fairs, on-base events, and veteran entrepreneurship forums
- Generate referrals through established veteran networks
Screening and Qualification
- Conduct behavioral and competency-based interviews to assess sales aptitude and entrepreneurial mindset
- Evaluate leadership experience, accountability, and performance history
- Assess financial readiness and alignment with long-term ownership opportunities
- Review transition timelines, geographic flexibility, and relocation considerations
Pipeline Management and Reporting
- Manage and track candidates through an ownership-track recruiting funnel
- Maintain accurate reporting on weekly activity, interviews, conversions, and pipeline health
- Partner closely with internal development and leadership teams to align recruiting outcomes with business needs
- Educate candidates on company pathways and long-term career progression
Onboarding and Employment Support
- Support onboarding and employment coordination for selected associates
- Ensure a smooth handoff from recruiting to training and development teams
Experience and Education
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 2+ years of full-cycle or high-volume recruiting experience
- Experience working with veterans, military populations, or leadership development programs preferred
- Must be legally authorized to the United States
