What Will Be Expected of Our Early Talent Recruiters?

The Early Talent Recruiter manages full‑cycle recruiting for engineering roles at ENERCON while serving as a key leader in ENERCON’s Early Talent strategy. This includes driving university partnerships, coordinating campus career fairs, and supporting our internship and new graduate programs. In this role, the recruiter partners closely with hiring managers, BU leadership, and HR to deliver a seamless candidate experience and ensure successful onboarding and development of early‑career talent.

Early Talent Recruiters are strategic talent advisors. They are responsible for understanding the unique needs of each business unit, providing up‑to‑date market and industry insights, and helping leaders meet their hiring goals through strong pipelines and proactive recruiting strategies.

In addition to full‑cycle recruiting, the Early Talent Recruiter contributes to process improvements, leads cross‑functional projects, and builds SME‑level expertise in early‑career hiring. This role also plays a critical part in planning and facilitating the summer intern program including scheduling, logistics, documentation, and ongoing support for intern managers and mentors.

Early Talent Recruiters are expected to collaborate closely with the recruiting team, mentor others when needed, and help strengthen ENERCON’s early‑career framework through continuous improvement and innovation.

This position is open to remote candidates; however, preference will be given to candidates located near one of our office locations listed above to support collaboration and business needs

Responsibilities

Full‑Cycle Recruitment

  • Source, screen, interview, negotiate, and close candidates for engineering and technical positions.
  • Build strong partnerships with hiring managers to understand role needs and talent gaps.

Early Career Programs

  • Own and execute strategies for university partnerships, career fairs, branding events, and internship/new graduate recruiting.
  • Lead full‑cycle campus recruiting efforts, from event planning to candidate selection and conversion.

Intern Program Leadership

  • Lead scheduling, logistics, documentation, and delivery of the summer intern program.
  • Partner with business units, intern mentors, and managers to ensure positive intern experiences.
  • Support onboarding, training week coordination, intern presentations, and end‑of‑season evaluations.

Talent Acquisition Strategy

  • Develop and implement sourcing and workforce planning strategies for both experienced and early‑career pipelines.
  • Analyze market trends and competitive landscape for early talent.

Candidate Experience

  • Ensure a professional, engaging, and timely experience for all candidates across both ET and engineering recruiting processes.

Metrics & Performance

  • Meet or exceed KPIs such as time‑to‑fill, quality‑of‑hire, campus recruiting ROI, and pipeline conversion metrics.

Team Collaboration & Mentorship

  • Support senior recruiters and hiring managers; share best practices.
  • Mentor junior team members and contribute to team development.

Process Improvement & Projects

  • Lead or assist with initiatives aimed at improving recruiting processes, documentation, tools, and candidate flow.

Pipeline Development

  • Build ongoing talent pipelines for current and future needs, including early‑career roles with little to no prior experience.

Reporting & Analytics

  • Generate and analyze recruiting and campus program metrics to support data‑driven decisions.

Diversity & Inclusion

  • Champion inclusive hiring practices across recruiting operations and campus partnerships.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications / Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
  • Minimum 4 years of recruiting experience, with at least one year in university recruiting or early‑career hiring preferred.
  • Prior experience partnering with or helping run an internship or early‑career program strongly preferred.
  • Strong prioritization and organizational skills with the ability to meet daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines.
  • Proficiency in applicant tracking systems (iCIMS preferred), LinkedIn Recruiter, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities, especially during campus and intern season.
  • Comfort working a hybrid schedule, including required in‑office presence during intern program weeks, campus event peak season, and other programmatic needs.
  • Ability to manage recruiting‑related projects and initiatives to completion.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%, especially for fall and spring campus recruiting and summer intern program events.

Interview And Employment Requirements

  • Completion of pre‑interview assessments (per role needs).
  • Ability to pass pre‑employment and random drug and alcohol screenings, ENERCON and client‑specific background checks, and annual motor vehicle record (MVR) checks according to company and client policies.
