Your Role
You have 1-3 years of experience in recruiting, sales, or customer contact by phone. You are good at it. Probably really good.
But something is missing. Maybe it's the voice in your head saying, "I can do more than what's currently visible." Maybe it's the tool chaos that eats up an hour every day. Maybe it's hiring managers who never call back. Maybe it's the feeling of being measured by a quota instead of what you really contribute.
We are looking for a Recruiter (m/f/d) who won't just be another sourcer in a machine with us, but will take on real responsibility. You will work directly with clients like Mercedes-Benz, Vodafone, METRO, AMEOS, and university hospitals.
You will qualify applicants by phone, build relationships, and make decisions.
35,000 – 50,000 € gross/year. Full-time (40h). Hybrid: 3 days in the office in Essen-Rüttenscheid, up to 2 days home office. No weekend shifts, no 10 PM calls, no Excel deserts – we work with the most modern AI system on the recruiting market.

Responsibilities
What you will do with us:
- You speak daily with applicants who have applied for positions with our clients through our recruiting campaigns. A nursing service manager from Oldenburg, an optician master from Stuttgart, a controller from the Ruhr area, a ward manager from Berlin. 38 industries. Real professionals with real reasons to switch.
- You qualify them. You check if the person is technically a good fit, if the region works, if the salary expectation is realistic, if availability is given. More importantly: You understand why the person wants to switch. What attracts them to this position? What are their real motives? You do what we call Sellcruiting – Recruiting + Sales: you don't just qualify, you also build enthusiasm, solidify the reasons for switching, and sell the position.
- You document cleanly: Short profile, traffic light status, recruiting comment. You hand over qualified applicants to the team or directly to the client. You work with our AI system, which takes over routine tasks for you – data maintenance, pre-selection, reminders. You focus on what machines cannot do: conversations and decisions.
- If you are good, after 6–12 months you will build your own client base, take on account responsibility, and eventually lead a team. What grows with us, grows with you.
What you will NOT do with us:
- You are not a sourcing machine that just pushes out resumes
- You don't chase arbitrary quotas – we measure match quality, not volume
- You don't work 24/7. Our core hours are applicant hours. We call applicants during the day, not at 10 PM
- You are not stuck in Excel lists. We have tools for that, and they work
- You don't maintain databases at piecework rates. The AI does that
- You will not be left alone. Onboarding is structured over 4–6 weeks – first listen, then shadow, then take over yourself
Your Daily Routine
You don't start the morning with an Excel desert, but with a tidy applicant pipeline. The AI has scored all incoming applications overnight and sorted them by match probability. You see at a glance: 12 applicants are relevant today, 4 of them with high priority.
Before each phone call, the AI provides you with a 2-minute briefing: what the applicant wrote in the form, which industry, which career path, which possible reasons for switching, which requirements need to be met. You never go into a conversation "cold". During the phone call, you no longer type. The AI simultaneously transcribes the protocol, extracts key statements, and builds the short profile. You correct it for 1–2 minutes afterward, and the profile is complete.
After each conversation, you decide: Green, yellow, or red light? The AI suggests which client the applicant is best suited for – you make the final decision. It writes a handover proposal, you refine it and send it out.
Routine follow-ups (status updates to hiring managers, reminders to applicants, auto-reschedules) are handled by automation. You are only involved where your decision is truly needed.
Qualifications
What you should bring:
- 1–3 years of professional experience in recruiting, personnel consulting, sales, or a job with intensive telephone customer contact
- You are not afraid of the phone and can get through a long list without losing track
- You can speak on equal terms with skilled workers from a wide variety of professions – from master electrician to hospital ward manager
- You work carefully. Bad notes today = unclear handover tomorrow, you know that
- You live in Essen or the Ruhr area and can regularly come to the office (Alfredstraße 81, 45130 Essen)
- German is your native language
- You are open to working with AI as a co-pilot. Prior experience with ChatGPT, Perplexity, or similar is a plus, but not a must. We will teach you the system
What we don't care about:
- A specific vocational training. We've had top recruiters with business administration degrees, with automotive mechanic backgrounds, and with bachelor's degrees in history. What you learned is secondary. What counts is how you interact with people.
- How many positions you supposedly "filled per month" in your last job. Volume is not our KPI. Match quality is.
- Whether you know a specific software suite. You will learn tools with us. What we cannot teach: brains and empathy.

Our Process
