About the role
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Conducting full cycle recruitment process including but not limited to posting, sourcing, screening candidates, testing reference check and placement for a wide range of all available positions within a mandated deadline.
- Recruit quality active and passive candidates by sourcing, maintaining candidate pipelines, pursuing referrals and developing meaningful contacts.
- Partner with hiring managers to identify talent needs, job duties, qualifications and skills.
- Executing daily recruiting activities, such as contacting qualified potential candidates through phone screening and setting up first and second in-person interviews.
- Identifying technically qualified candidates based on capability and fit within the organizational culture.
- Ensuring the most effective advertising channels are utilized. Monitoring advertising performance and adjusting spends as required to meet monthly advertising budget as assigned.
- Ensuring organizational competency gaps are closed through effective advertising, cold calling, and other effective recruiting methods.
- Coach managers and provide tools for attracting highly qualified and diverse talent from internal and external sources.
- Create recruiting procedures to be implemented in SEI system. Partners with employees and management to communicate various Human Resources policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations through various communication platforms.
- Receives all the employee’s questions or needs and either respond to that in a timely manner or work together with the rest of the HR team to secure the timely feedback to the employees.
- Assists in monitoring the performance appraisal process
- Conducts new employee orientation training
- Maintains Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database.
- Maintains employee’s personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements. Keeps employee records up-to-date by processing employee status changes in timely fashion
- Helps to maintain company organization charts and employee directory Organize company events such as barbeque, service award, etc.
- Distributing company gifts, uniform voucher, other company perks or PPEs to employees as required by the employer
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Human Resources
- 4-6 years of progressive working experience as a recruiter in a fast-paced manufacturing or industrial environment recruiting Assemblers, Machinists, Material Planner, Winders, Disassemblers, Production Managers, etc..
- Must be able to travel to Canada for the first 4-6 weeks as an onboarding/training period followed by occasional visits as required by the business.
- Working knowledge of ATS (Job Adder)/Social Media posting will be an asset
- Knowledge of US employment laws will be an asset
- Ability to work autonomously
- Self-starter and energetic with initiative, professionalism and sound analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to maintain information in confidence and exercise good judgment
- Proficient with MS Office Suite, HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems
- Ability to be self-managing, show a commitment to a task, strong work ethic.
- Excellent attention to details, communication, prioritizing, and organizational skills
- Basic knowledge business and management principles involved in strategic planning.
- Ability to work in a demanding fast paced environment with aggressive timelines
