Principle Purpose of Job
The Recruiting Manager is responsible for leading a high-volume, full-cycle recruiting function across all Devil’s Thumb Ranch Companies operations, supporting a workforce of approximately 400 employees. This role develops and executes strategic talent pipelines for seasonal, international, and year-round positions at all levels, from entry-level roles through leadership positions. This position partners closely with department leaders to forecast staffing needs, proactively source and engage candidates, and ensure timely, effective hiring outcomes. In addition to recruiting leadership, the role supports broader Human Resources initiatives, including overseeing the new hire orientation program, assisting with onboarding processes, and contributing to employee experience efforts. The Recruiting Manager represents the organization externally through career fairs, partnerships, and industry engagement, with travel required approximately 10–25% of the time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead full-cycle, high-volume recruiting efforts for all positions across the organization, including management, line-level, and international roles.
- Develop and maintain robust talent pipelines to support seasonal fluctuations and long-term workforce planning.
- Partner with department leaders to assess hiring needs, workforce planning, and position prioritization aligned with budget and operational goals.
- Proactively source candidates through job boards, social media, networking, referrals, and direct outreach.
- Evaluate recruiting channels for effectiveness and adjust strategies to maximize return on investment.
- Maintain an active and organized candidate database for current and future hiring needs.
- Develop, implement, and manage international recruiting programs, including agency partnerships and compliance processes.
- Build sustainable pipelines for seasonal hiring needs, ensuring timely staffing ahead of peak business periods.
- Establish and maintain relationships with schools, workforce programs, and industry partners (e.g., culinary schools, universities, local workforce centers, and high schools).
- Research, coordinate, and attend external job fairs, campus recruiting events, and industry outreach initiatives.
- Support and organize internal hiring events and seasonal job fairs.
- Track and analyze ROI of recruiting events and partnerships.
- Conduct initial screenings and interviews; coordinate next steps with hiring managers.
- Facilitate offer processes in alignment with approved compensation and hiring guidelines.
- Oversee background checks and collaborate with HR leadership on any follow-up actions.
- Partner with HR and operations teams to align hiring timelines with housing, onboarding, and operational readiness.
- Design, manage, and facilitate the New Hire Orientation (NHO) program.
- Support onboarding processes to ensure a seamless and positive candidate-to-employee transition.
- Collaborate with HR leadership on cross-training initiatives and workforce retention strategies.
- Maintain communication with managers regarding upcoming new hires and orientation schedules.
- Oversee employee referral program tracking and payouts.
- Manage recruiting budget and provide regular updates on hiring progress, challenges, and metrics.
- Maintain accurate job postings and internal communications.
- Provide regular reporting and updates to HR leadership and executive teams.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Human Resources Director.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in high-volume recruiting required; hospitality or seasonal workforce experience strongly preferred.
- Experience managing international recruiting programs required.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required.
- Experience with applicant tracking systems (Paylocity preferred) and recruiting technologies.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- High level of organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
- Maintains a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
- Acts as a positive ambassador of Devil’s Thumb Ranch Companies.
- Ability to travel 10–25% for recruiting events and partnerships.
Compensation Description:
$70,000 - $80,000/yr commensurate with education and experience.

Due to the nature of our 24-hour operation, there is no guaranteed work schedule. Managers will try to accommodate specific schedule requests, but they are never guaranteed if business volume prohibits.
