About

The Personnel Office of the Canton of Zurich is the competence center for all personnel-related topics of the cantonal administration with over 35,000 employees. We support managers and employees in a wide variety of HR topics and shape modern personnel work in a dynamic environment.

Many things are happening at once here: retirements, new requirements, transformation projects, and recruitments in very different areas. That's exactly why we are looking for an experienced recruiter personality who quickly takes on responsibility, is pragmatic, and wants to contribute in an environment with a lot of movement.

The position is limited to 12 months and offers you the opportunity to directly apply your recruiting experience in an intensive and versatile phase.

We are a small recruiting team that achieves a lot, likes to laugh, and yet works very precisely. We like people who think along, communicate openly, and don't lose their sense of humor even when three processes are urgent at the same time.

Your Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for recruitments in various departments of the Finance Directorate with around 1,200 employees and manage the process from the initial briefing to the offer.
  • As a sparring partner for our line managers, you clarify profiles, reflect the market, and also state when wishes and reality do not align.
  • You review applications, conduct interviews, evaluate online assessments, and use the results specifically for your communication.
  • You formulate job advertisements so that they fit the target group and do not sound like copy-paste.
  • You actively use LinkedIn Recruiter and other channels when suitable applications do not come in on their own.
  • You keep candidates on track in the process, communicate reliably, and ensure a professional candidate experience.
  • You work with various departments within the Finance Directorate and quickly realize that recruiting does not work the same everywhere.
  • You pitch in with recruiting topics beyond day-to-day business when things are urgent or something needs to be moved forward.

Your Profile

  • Recruiting is not new territory for you. You have sound experience in in-house recruiting and have at least a vocational qualification (Fachausweis).
  • You advise executives clearly, reliably, and at eye level. Even when the desired profile, market, and time pressure do not quite align.
  • Multiple parallel recruitments, changing priorities, and different stakeholder groups do not easily throw you off balance.
  • You work quickly, structured, and pragmatically, without losing sight of quality and candidate experience.
  • Different departments, working methods, and cultures make the task exciting for you. You quickly find your way around and adapt situationally.
  • You have assertiveness, but remain professional, solution-oriented, and close to people.
  • You are proficient with digital recruiting tools, SAP SuccessFactors, LinkedIn Recruiter, or similar systems, or can quickly get to grips with them.
  • You communicate clearly, confidently, and in a target-group-oriented manner in German.
