About the role

Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join a new emerging business in transportation and Shipping. We are a startup team looking for a highly driven, entrepreneurial, analytical, and customer-obsessed individual to help support internal transfer interest, vetting, pipeline management, and interview scheduling support for our Business Development team.

The ideal candidate will be excited to support launching a new program from the beginning of its life cycle, and will have familiarity with recruiting top talent who led sales generation with both small, medium, large, and enterprise customers. We are reinventing the approach to selling in this industry and looking for a candidate who can help identify and support top-tier talent at scale while providing a high level of candidate experience while supporting various hiring managers.

This contractor is focused on internal hiring.

6 managers are hiring, but each manager owns a specific BD program. The candidates will need to have BD skills, but will also need to meet specific niche skills

  • This person needs to understand how the internal tools work.

Key job responsibilities

  • Managing a pooling req/pipeline designed to hire up to 80
  • Meet with candidates to answer initial questions and vet for initial scope, location, etc.
  • Collect, collate, and organize supporting information for the recruiting process (resumes, etc.)
  • Build and report on tracking mechanisms to provide visibility to the pipeline
  • Schedule hiring loops between the candidate, HM, and other identified interviewers
  • Provides positive hand-off of inclined candidates to the HM who will generate offers.

Requirements

  • Requires a bachelor's degree or at least 8 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Performs a variety of tasks. May lead and direct the work of others.
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  • Reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
  • Prior experience in Company recruiting is highly preferred.

Typical task breakdown and rhythm

  • Owning the Pooling req that is hiring BD candidates for about 6 L7 managers
  • Be the first point of contact for internal Company candidates
  • Initial resume review
  • Own overall life cycle of candidate experience if the team does want to move forward (handle scheduling informational/ loops, organizing debriefs, and communicating with the candidate)
  • Reporting out metrics on how internal is going
  • Calendar management
  • Communications
  • Measuring the flow of the pipeline.
