About Us
HR Project Partners (HRPP) is hiring a Recruitment Specialist to join their internal team. The Recruitment Specialist is responsible for delivering full‑cycle recruitment services to support staffing needs for a large‑scale industrial project. This role ensures timely, compliant, and bias‑free hiring aligned with workforce plans, diversity commitments, and project‑specific requirements.
The Recruitment Specialist will participate in the end‑to‑end recruitment process using a structured, proven recruitment workflow. This includes job activation, sourcing, screening, interviewing, background checking, candidate communication, and reporting. The role requires strong organization, excellent communication, and the ability to manage high‑volume recruitment in a fast‑paced environment.
Duration: 1-year contract, with possibility of extension
Hours: 40–50 hours per week
Schedule: Monday to Friday; evenings and weekends as required

Reports To: Recruitment Manager
Responsibilities
- Review new requisitions and confirm job details, qualifications, competencies, schedules, and any hiring commitments.
- Oversee the recruitment lifecycle for assigned roles.
- Post vacancies across job boards, social media platforms, and internal channels.
- Review applications for required qualifications and experience.
- Prepare structured screening summaries within established timelines.
- Identify priority candidates, including local, Indigenous, and equity‑seeking applicants.
- Recommend shortlists aligned with hiring priorities.
- Conduct standardized pre‑screening calls to assess experience, availability, and role alignment.
- Schedule interviews with hiring managers and prepare interview guides.
- Communicate interview details to candidates and participate in interviews when required.
- Facilitate debrief discussions with hiring teams.
- Document selection decisions and prepare candidates for next steps.
- Notify unsuccessful candidates.
- Extend verbal offers and confirm acceptance.
- Support candidates through questions or negotiations.
- Notify HR or onboarding teams to initiate next steps.
- Maintain consistent communication with candidates throughout the process.
- Ensure timely closure of requisitions and proper documentation.
- Support a positive candidate experience.
- Provide weekly recruitment updates and progress reports.
- Track metrics such as applicant volume, diversity indicators, and hiring timelines.
- Recommend improvements to sourcing strategies and recruitment processes.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Experience in full‑cycle recruitment or talent acquisition.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage high‑volume recruitment.
- Proficiency in Excel and applicant tracking systems (i.e., Successfactors).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when required.
- Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
- Previous interviewing experience (asset).
- Experience recruiting in industrial, construction, or mining environments (asset).
- Familiarity with structured evaluation tools and bias‑free hiring practices (asset).
- Experience working with Indigenous communities or local hiring initiatives (asset).
