Responsibilities

A Snapshot of Your Day
As the Engineering Adviser for our Sales team in the Asia Pacific region, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that customers receive optimal technical solutions aligned with Siemens Energy turbine technology. You will act as the technical backbone of the sales process, bridging customer requirements with our Proposal Hubs and ensuring that all technical aspects of our contracts are robust, accurate, and in line with our standards.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Analyze and evaluate customer requirements for the design & upgrade of existing industrial Steam Turbine Generator sets.
• Develop HBDs and future turbine concepts from the very beginning in close cooperation with our Sales team.
• Support preparation of technical budget proposals as well as technical binding offers in coordination with the proposal & Engineering teams in our factories in Europe (Germany, France and Czech Republic), USA and India (Vadodara).
• Conduct technical presentations with customers and drive projects with the sales team.

Requirements

• A sound degree in mechanical engineering, energy/process engineering, industrial engineering, or related discipline.
• Minimum 20+ years engineering experience in the field of turbine/power plant/plant technology.
• Expertise in Steam Turbine design and calculations for industrial‑scale Steam Turbines.
• Familiarity with reading and understanding P&IDs or other process‑related drawings.
• Experience in proposal management, technical sales, project execution, or project management.
• High‑level English skills are essential.
• Basic commercial knowledge, team and communication skills, and good handling of MS Office applications.
• Willingness for (inter‑)national business trips.
