Release Train Engineer (RTE)

About

We are looking for an experienced Release Train Engineer (RTE) for a 7 months contract to lead Agile Release Trains within a complex banking and payments environment. You will act as a servant leader and coach, ensuring alignment, execution, and continuous delivery across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate and manage Agile Release Train (ART) events (PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, Inspect & Adapt, etc.)
• Drive program-level execution and ensure alignment across multiple Agile teams
• Identify, track, and resolve risks, dependencies, and impediments
• Work closely with Product Management, Architects, and Business stakeholders
• Promote SAFe principles and continuous improvement practices
• Ensure effective delivery of large-scale payments and banking initiatives
• Track and report on program progress, metrics, and outcomes

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Release Train Engineer / Senior Scrum Master / Agile Program Manager
• Strong experience in SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) environments
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple Agile teams and complex programs
• Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills
• Experience with Agile tools (Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, etc.)

Advantageous Skills

• SAFe RTE Certification or equivalent Agile certifications
• Understanding of DevOps and continuous delivery practices
• Experience managing large-scale transformation initiatives

Preferred Industry Experience

• Banking or financial services
• Strong exposure to payments systems, transaction platforms, or regulatory environments
