Release Train Engineer (RTE) – SAFe Agile

Job Description

Fannie Mae is looking for an experienced Release Train Engineer (RTE) to lead and coordinate Agile Release Train (ART) execution in a SAFe Agile environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience facilitating PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, ART synchronization, and enterprise Agile delivery coordination.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate Program Increment (PI) Planning sessions
• Coordinate Scrum of Scrums (SoS), ART Sync, and leadership meetings
• Manage ART-level risks, dependencies, and impediments
• Consolidate and publish Program PI Objectives
• Track execution of features, epics, and Agile delivery metrics
• Work closely with Product Management, Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and PMO teams
• Facilitate ART demos and stakeholder communication
• Drive continuous improvement and Agile best practices across teams

Required Skills

• 8+ years of Agile delivery/program management experience
• Strong hands-on experience as a Release Train Engineer (RTE)
• Extensive experience with SAFe Agile Framework
• Experience leading Agile Release Trains (ART)
• Expertise in PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, ART Syncs, and dependency management
• Strong experience with Jira, Rally, or Azure DevOps
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Skills

• SAFe RTE Certification
• Financial Services / Banking domain experience
• PMP or Agile certifications preferred
