Responsibilities: Collect, process, and clean diverse agricultural datasets (e.g., yield data, soil samples, weather, satellite imagery). Perform statistical analysis and modeling to identify patterns, correlations, and trends in agricultural data. Develop and implement predictive models for crop yield, disease outbreaks, and optimal planting/harvesting times. Create insightful data visualizations and reports for both technical and non-technical audiences. Collaborate with agronomists and field experts to validate data and refine analytical approaches. Provide data-driven recommendations to improve crop management strategies, resource allocation, and sustainability efforts. Monitor key performance indicators and report on the effectiveness of implemented agricultural practices. Stay current with advancements in agricultural science, data analytics, and relevant technologies. Maintain data integrity and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations. Support the development of new data collection methodologies and tools. Qualifications: Master's degree or Ph.D. in Agronomy, Agricultural Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related quantitative field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in data analysis, with a focus on agricultural or biological data. Proven expertise in statistical analysis, machine learning, and data modeling techniques. Proficiency with data analysis software (e.g., R, Python, SAS) and database management (SQL). Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, ggplot2). Strong understanding of agronomic principles, crop physiology, and soil science. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Ability to communicate complex data findings effectively to diverse stakeholders. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a remote environment. Strong organizational and project management skills.
