Our client, a leader in cutting-edge AI research, is actively seeking a brilliant and innovative Remote AI Research Engineer specializing in Computer Vision. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to contribute from anywhere. You will be at the forefront of developing advanced AI models and algorithms that interpret and understand visual data. The ideal candidate will have a strong academic background in machine learning and computer vision, a passion for pushing the boundaries of AI, and hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks and large-scale datasets.

Responsibilities: Research, design, and develop state-of-the-art computer vision models for applications such as object detection, image segmentation, facial recognition, and scene understanding. Implement and optimize deep learning algorithms using frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras. Process and analyze large-scale image and video datasets, ensuring data quality and preparing data for model training. Conduct rigorous experimentation, evaluation, and validation of AI models, tracking performance metrics and identifying areas for improvement. Stay abreast of the latest research papers, techniques, and trends in computer vision and artificial intelligence. Collaborate with other AI researchers, engineers, and product teams to integrate AI solutions into new and existing products. Develop efficient code and scalable solutions for real-time or batch processing of visual data. Contribute to the intellectual property of the company through publications and patent filings. Present research findings and technical designs to both technical and non-technical audiences. Troubleshoot and debug complex AI systems and models. Mentor junior engineers and interns, fostering a culture of innovation and knowledge sharing. Ensure AI models are developed ethically and consider potential biases and societal impacts. Manage individual research projects, setting milestones and delivering results within agreed timelines in a remote environment. Qualifications: Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field with a specialization in Computer Vision. Proven research experience with a strong publication record in top-tier AI/CV conferences and journals is highly desirable. At least 4 years of hands-on experience in developing and implementing deep learning models for computer vision tasks. Expertise in programming languages such as Python, C++, and proficiency with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch). Strong mathematical background in linear algebra, calculus, probability, and statistics. Experience with computer vision libraries (e.g., OpenCV) and data augmentation techniques. Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and GPU computing. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills, essential for effective remote teamwork. Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and drive research projects to completion in a remote setting.
