Our client is actively seeking a highly skilled and innovative Remote Automotive Systems Engineer to join their cutting-edge research and development team. You will play a crucial role in the design, integration, and validation of complex automotive systems, focusing on enhancing performance, safety, and efficiency. Responsibilities: Define system requirements and specifications based on vehicle-level objectives and customer needs. Design and develop integrated automotive systems, including powertrain, chassis, electrical, and infotainment components. Utilize systems engineering principles (e.g., V-model) for requirements management, architecture design, and verification & validation. Perform system integration, simulation, and testing to ensure functional performance and compatibility. Analyze test data and troubleshoot system issues, providing effective solutions. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware engineers, software developers, and manufacturing specialists. Create and maintain detailed system documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and reports. Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and tools. Stay abreast of emerging automotive technologies, industry standards, and best practices. Manage system-level trade-offs and ensure adherence to project timelines and budgets. Develop and maintain robust validation strategies for system components and the overall system. Ensure compliance with automotive safety and regulatory standards. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is a strong advantage. Minimum of 6 years of experience in automotive systems engineering or a closely related field. Demonstrated expertise in defining system requirements, architecture, and interfaces. Proficiency in systems engineering tools such as DOORS, JAMA, or similar requirements management software. Experience with simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink) and data analysis software. Strong understanding of automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet). Knowledge of automotive safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262) is desirable. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts. Proven ability to work independently, manage priorities, and collaborate effectively in a remote, distributed team environment. Familiarity with agile development methodologies is a plus.
