Responsibilities
Database meets Cloud-Native
- PostgreSQL & Kubernetes: You are responsible for the setup and stable operation of PostgreSQL database services within a Kubernetes-based private cloud environment.
- Automation (GitOps/IaC): You develop automated rollout and operating processes, consistently relying on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and GitOps principles.
- Infrastructure Integration: In close coordination with the Managed Kubernetes team, you optimize the integration of database services into the overall architecture.
- Lifecycle Management: You plan and implement updates, security patches, and new product versions to guarantee the highest security standards.
- Platform Evolution: You drive the active expansion and optimization of additional database services on the internal cloud platforms.
Qualifications
What you bring
- Qualification: Completed IT degree or an apprenticeship as a Fachinformatiker for System Integration.
- Database Expertise: Profound knowledge of PostgreSQL (ideally including HA solutions) and a passion for open-source technologies.
- Cloud Stack: Experience with Kubernetes and enthusiasm for Linux environments and OpenStack.
- Methodology: Confident use of modern automation tools (GitOps, IaC).
- Language Skills: Fluent German and good English
