Our client, a highly respected non-profit organization dedicated to driving positive social change, is looking for a passionate and experienced Remote Community Engagement Manager to lead our outreach initiatives. This is a critical, fully remote role focused on building strong, collaborative relationships with diverse communities across various regions. You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective community engagement strategies that align with our organization's mission, fostering dialogue, and mobilizing support for our programs. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in community organizing, stakeholder management, and program development, coupled with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills suited for a virtual environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive community engagement strategies to connect with target populations and build meaningful relationships.
  • Identify key community stakeholders, including local leaders, non-profit partners, and community members, and cultivate strong working relationships.
  • Organize and facilitate virtual and, where appropriate, in-person community events, workshops, and focus groups.
  • Develop and disseminate engaging communication materials (newsletters, social media content, reports) to inform and involve communities.
  • Gather feedback from community members to inform program design and organizational strategy.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of community engagement activities, providing regular reports on progress and impact.
  • Collaborate closely with program teams to ensure community needs and perspectives are integrated into project planning and implementation.
  • Manage budgets associated with community engagement initiatives.
  • Represent the organization at external meetings and forums, advocating for community interests.
  • Stay informed about social issues and trends relevant to the communities we serve.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Sociology, Public Administration, Communications, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in community engagement, program management, or a related role within the non-profit or social sector.
  • Proven ability to build rapport and trust with diverse community groups.
  • Strong understanding of community development principles and best practices in stakeholder engagement.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in creating compelling content for various platforms.
  • Proficiency in virtual collaboration tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams) and project management software.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines in a remote setting.
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to manage budgets and evaluate program outcomes.
  • A genuine passion for social impact and a commitment to empowering communities.
  • Experience working with vulnerable or marginalized populations is highly desirable.
