This fully remote position offers the exciting opportunity to conceptualize, develop, and launch new products that will shape the market. The Product Development Manager will be responsible for the entire product lifecycle, from ideation and market research to formulation, testing, and commercialization. Responsibilities include identifying consumer needs and market trends, leading cross-functional teams (including R&D, marketing, supply chain, and regulatory affairs), and ensuring that new products meet quality, cost, and timeline objectives. You will conduct competitive analysis, develop product specifications, oversee pilot production runs, and collaborate with marketing teams to craft compelling launch strategies. Key Responsibilities: Lead the ideation, development, and launch of new FMCG products. Conduct market research and consumer trend analysis to identify new product opportunities. Develop detailed product briefs and specifications. Oversee product formulation, testing, and validation processes. Manage cross-functional teams (R&D, Marketing, Operations, Regulatory) throughout the product lifecycle. Ensure products meet quality, safety, and regulatory compliance standards. Develop and manage product development project timelines and budgets. Collaborate with marketing teams on go-to-market strategies and launch plans. Monitor product performance post-launch and identify areas for improvement. Stay abreast of industry innovations, competitive activities, and consumer preferences. Present product development proposals and updates to senior management. Qualifications: B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Food Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Marketing, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of experience in product development within the FMCG industry. Proven track record of successfully launching new consumer products. Strong understanding of product development processes, formulation, and manufacturing. Excellent project management skills, with experience managing multiple projects simultaneously. Strong analytical and market research capabilities. Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams in a remote environment. Proficiency in relevant software, including project management tools and CRM.
