Remote Lead Project Manager - IT Infrastructure

Our client is seeking an accomplished and visionary Lead Project Manager to spearhead their IT Infrastructure projects on a fully remote basis. This senior role demands exceptional leadership, strategic planning capabilities, and a comprehensive understanding of IT infrastructure technologies and project methodologies. You will be responsible for overseeing multiple complex projects simultaneously, guiding project teams, managing stakeholder expectations, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-impact infrastructure solutions. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of complex IT infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives. Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, resources, and risk management strategies. Oversee and mentor project managers and project teams, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback. Effectively manage stakeholder communication, expectations, and relationships across all levels of the organization. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards and performance objectives. Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues, developing contingency plans as needed. Drive process improvements and best practices in project management within the IT infrastructure domain. Facilitate cross-functional collaboration and ensure seamless integration of infrastructure solutions. Manage vendor relationships and contract negotiations for IT infrastructure services and equipment. Report on project status, key performance indicators, and overall project health to senior leadership. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. A Master's degree is advantageous. Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years focused on IT infrastructure projects. Proven experience leading and managing large-scale, complex IT infrastructure initiatives (e.g., data center migrations, network upgrades, cloud implementations). Expertise in various project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid). PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification is highly desirable. Strong technical understanding of IT infrastructure components, including servers, networks, storage, cloud computing, and cybersecurity. Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to manage remote teams effectively and foster a collaborative virtual environment. Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
