Remote Lead Quality Assurance Engineer

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Remote Lead Quality Assurance Engineer to join our distributed engineering team. This role is critical in ensuring the highest standards of quality and reliability for our cutting-edge software products. As a Lead QA Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive test strategies, leading a team of QA professionals, and driving continuous improvement in our testing processes. You will work closely with development teams to identify and resolve defects early in the development lifecycle. Your expertise in automation testing, performance testing, and security testing will be invaluable. This is a fully remote position, allowing you to work from anywhere, provided you have a stable internet connection and can collaborate effectively with a globally distributed team. You will be expected to architect and implement robust automated test frameworks, manage test environments, and contribute to release management processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of agile methodologies and experience in mentoring junior QA engineers. Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases. Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment. Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using various tools and frameworks. Conduct various types of testing, including functional, regression, performance, load, and security testing. Collaborate closely with development teams to identify, document, and resolve software defects. Contribute to the improvement of QA processes, methodologies, and tools. Manage and maintain test environments and test data. Analyze test results and provide detailed reports on product quality and test coverage. Ensure adherence to agile development practices and participate in sprint planning and reviews. Stay up-to-date with the latest QA technologies and best practices. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior role. Proven experience in designing and implementing test automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright). Strong proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript). Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, Insomnia). Solid understanding of database concepts and SQL. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI). Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills. Strong communication and leadership abilities. Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process.
