Remote Lead UX/UI Designer - Mobile Applications

As the Lead UX/UI Designer, you will translate complex user needs and business requirements into elegant, user-friendly interfaces. You will conduct user research, usability testing, and competitive analysis to inform design decisions. You will create wireframes, user flows, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that clearly communicate design concepts. Collaboration is key; you will work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of your designs. You will also mentor and guide junior designers, setting design standards and best practices for the team. This role requires a deep understanding of mobile design principles, platform-specific guidelines (iOS Human Interface Guidelines, Android Material Design), and the latest trends in UX/UI design. You must be adept at using industry-standard design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and prototyping tools. As a remote-first role, excellent communication, collaboration, and self-management skills are essential. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design process for mobile applications, from concept to launch. Conduct user research, usability testing, and create user personas. Develop user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups. Define and maintain the visual design language and design system for mobile products. Collaborate closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders throughout the design and development lifecycle. Mentor and provide design feedback to junior UX/UI designers. Stay updated on the latest trends, best practices, and technologies in UX/UI design. Advocate for user-centered design principles and ensure their implementation. Present design solutions and rationale clearly and persuasively to stakeholders. Ensure design consistency and quality across all mobile platforms (iOS and Android). Contribute to product strategy and roadmap development from a design perspective. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. 5+ years of experience in UX/UI design, with a strong focus on mobile application design. A comprehensive portfolio showcasing expertise in user research, interaction design, visual design, and prototyping for mobile apps. Proficiency in industry-standard design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, InVision). Deep understanding of mobile platform design guidelines (iOS Human Interface Guidelines, Android Material Design). Experience conducting user research and usability testing. Excellent understanding of mobile development processes and constraints. Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively mentor a design team. Ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative team environment. Experience creating and managing design systems is a plus.
