Remote Online Course Developer - STEM

Our client, a leading innovator in online education, is seeking a highly creative and knowledgeable Remote Online Course Developer specializing in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) subjects. This is a fully remote position where you will design, develop, and implement engaging and effective online learning experiences for a diverse student population. You will play a critical role in shaping curriculum content, instructional materials, and assessment strategies to ensure optimal learning outcomes.

Key responsibilities include: Designing and developing engaging online courses in various STEM disciplines, from foundational concepts to advanced topics. Creating comprehensive learning materials, including interactive modules, video scripts, readings, quizzes, assignments, and case studies. Collaborating with subject matter experts to ensure the accuracy, relevance, and pedagogical soundness of course content. Applying instructional design principles and adult learning theories to create effective and accessible learning experiences. Developing and implementing innovative assessment strategies to measure student comprehension and progress. Utilizing learning management systems (LMS) and authoring tools to build and manage online courses. Ensuring all course content is aligned with educational standards and learning objectives. Facilitating online discussions and providing feedback to students to support their learning journey. Staying current with emerging trends and technologies in online education and instructional design. Evaluating and recommending new technologies and methodologies to enhance the online learning experience. Managing project timelines and deliverables to ensure courses are launched on schedule. Conducting quality assurance checks on all developed course materials. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in STEM fields, coupled with proven experience in instructional design and online course development. Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills are essential. You must be proficient in using LMS platforms and various e-learning authoring tools. A creative approach to problem-solving and a passion for making complex subjects accessible and engaging are key. This role is fully remote, requiring strong self-management, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently. A Master's degree or Ph.D. in a relevant STEM field, along with demonstrable experience in designing and developing online courses, is required. Experience with multimedia development and graphic design is a plus.
