Our client, a leader in aerospace innovation, is seeking a highly experienced Principal Aerospace Systems Engineer to join their completely remote engineering team. This senior role is instrumental in architecting, designing, and validating complex aerospace systems from concept through to production. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of aerospace principles, advanced simulation techniques, and a proven track record of delivering innovative solutions. Key Responsibilities: Lead the definition, design, and integration of aerospace systems, ensuring requirements are met across all disciplines. Develop high-level system architectures and detailed design specifications for aircraft, spacecraft, or related platforms. Perform advanced system modeling, simulation, and analysis using industry-standard tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, STK). Oversee the verification and validation of system designs through testing, simulation, and flight data analysis. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to multidisciplinary engineering teams. Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including program management, manufacturing, and customers, to ensure successful project execution. Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the system lifecycle. Contribute to the development of new technologies and innovative approaches in aerospace engineering. Ensure adherence to stringent safety, quality, and regulatory standards (e.g., FAA, EASA). Author and review technical documentation, reports, and proposals. Required Qualifications: Master's or Ph.D. degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in aerospace systems engineering. Proven expertise in systems engineering methodologies, including requirements management, architecture design, and V&V. Extensive experience with aerospace system simulation, analysis, and modeling tools. Strong understanding of aerodynamics, propulsion, structures, avionics, and flight control systems. Demonstrated leadership experience on complex aerospace projects. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and collaborate remotely. Experience with agile development methodologies is a plus. Familiarity with industry standards and certification processes.
