About the role
Our client, a highly reputable and rapidly expanding recruitment consultancy, is seeking an experienced and strategic Principal Technical Recruiter to join their remote-first team. This role will focus on sourcing, attracting, and securing top-tier talent across a wide range of engineering and IT disciplines for various clients. You will be instrumental in developing and executing innovative recruitment strategies, building robust talent pipelines, and ensuring an exceptional candidate experience. This position demands a deep understanding of the technical landscape, advanced sourcing techniques, and strong stakeholder management skills. As a Principal Recruiter, you will also play a key role in mentoring junior recruiters and contributing to the overall growth and success of the firm.
Key Responsibilities include: Lead full-cycle technical recruitment processes for complex roles across engineering, software development, data science, cybersecurity, and other IT domains. Develop and implement creative sourcing strategies to identify passive and active candidates through various channels, including LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search, professional networks, and industry events. Build and nurture strong relationships with hiring managers and stakeholders, understanding their talent needs and providing expert recruitment consultation. Manage candidate pipelines, ensuring timely communication, feedback, and an outstanding candidate experience throughout the hiring process. Conduct thorough technical interviews and assessments to evaluate candidate qualifications and cultural fit. Negotiate job offers and facilitate the onboarding process for successful candidates. Stay current with market trends, compensation benchmarks, and emerging technologies to advise clients effectively. Contribute to the development and refinement of recruitment best practices, tools, and processes. Mentor and coach junior recruiters, sharing best practices and fostering a collaborative team environment. Analyze recruitment metrics and provide insights to optimize recruitment strategies and improve efficiency. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus. Minimum of 7 years of proven experience in technical recruitment, with a significant portion focused on senior-level and hard-to-fill roles. Demonstrated expertise in sourcing and recruiting for niche engineering and IT specializations (e.g., AI/ML, Cloud Computing, DevOps, Embedded Systems, Full-Stack Development). Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and various recruitment technologies. Excellent understanding of technical concepts and the ability to engage meaningfully with technical candidates. Strong negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management skills. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced, remote environment. Proactive, results-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality talent solutions. Experience with recruitment consultancy or agency environments is highly desirable.
