Remote Program Manager - Humanitarian Initiatives

Our client, a respected international non-profit organization, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Remote Program Manager to lead and oversee critical humanitarian initiatives. This fully remote position offers a unique opportunity to manage impactful projects from anywhere in the world, focusing on (mention specific areas like disaster relief, community development, public health, education, etc.). Responsibilities: Lead the design, planning, implementation, and evaluation of humanitarian programs in alignment with the organization's mission and strategic goals. Manage project lifecycles, including defining objectives, scopes, deliverables, timelines, and budgets. Develop and manage program budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial guidelines. Oversee and coordinate remote project teams, fostering collaboration, communication, and accountability. Identify and mitigate program risks, developing contingency plans as necessary. Establish and maintain strong relationships with beneficiaries, local partners, government agencies, and other stakeholders. Ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of program activities and services. Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to track program progress and impact. Prepare regular program reports for donors, management, and other stakeholders. Ensure compliance with donor requirements, organizational policies, and ethical standards. Lead needs assessments and situational analyses to inform program design and adaptation. Represent the organization in relevant forums, meetings, and working groups. Mentor and support program staff, providing guidance and professional development opportunities. Stay informed about the humanitarian landscape, best practices, and emerging trends. Champion a culture of learning and continuous improvement within program teams. Qualifications: Master's degree in International Development, Humanitarian Affairs, Public Policy, Social Sciences, or a related field. Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in program management, with a significant portion in the humanitarian or non-profit sector. Demonstrated experience in managing complex international development or humanitarian projects, including budgeting, M&E, and donor reporting. Proven ability to lead and manage remote teams effectively across different time zones and cultures. Strong understanding of humanitarian principles, international aid architecture, and development best practices. Excellent project management skills, with proficiency in project management software and methodologies. Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. Proficiency in report writing and proposal development. Experience working in challenging environments or with vulnerable populations is highly desirable. Fluency in English is required; knowledge of other relevant languages is an asset. Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities in a remote setting.
